While talking to the leading daily DNA, actress Swara Bhaskar opened about some bitter experiences that she’s had to face for being a woman. She shared how she was groped while travelling for the promotions of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
The biggest challenge for a woman in a society where you have to be ashamed for what has happened to you, is to fight your impulse. I have done that, I have fought my impulses to make myself react. I have been groped during Prem Ratan Dhan Payo when we landed at Rajkot. I was travelling with Salman Sir and nobody realised, but there were around 2,000 people at the airport to see him. Despite the fact there was security, people got in and it was Anupam Kher who made sure I got into the car. It was crazy. As a female artiste, you know the feeling of being vulnerable in front of a crowd, which is why I connected with my character Anaarkali. You know that when we were shooting the Holi scene in Ranjhanaa, the production has put five boys from the AD team around us in that get-up, to protect us from the rest of the crowd.

Model-actress Sonika Singh Chauhan passed away after she met with a fatal road accident in Kolkata. She was accompanied by a popular Bengali actor Vikram Chatterjee who was driving the car. Vikram is seriously injured but Sonika was declared dead by the time she reached the hospital.
As per a leading daily, the accident took place in the wee hours of the morning. The car lost its control, hit a footpath memorial and spun till it hit a roadside shop. Vikram managed to come out of the car, but Sonika’s head crashed with full impact which led to her bleeding profusely from the head, ears and nose. She was taken to the Ruby Hospital but was declared dead at around 4:50 a.m,
Police suspected that Sonika might not have been wearing the seat belt which led to her fatal death. A doctor from the hospital stated, “Vikram was admitted with a lacerated injury on his scalp. It was repaired immediately. He is now undergoing treatment under a team of doctors comprising general, orthopedic and neurosurgeons and a general physician.”
A few locals mentioned about the incident saying, “The sound was deafening. We were forced out of our sleep. It was still dark outside and, when I peeped out of the window, I saw some people taking the occupants of the overturned car into another car.”
A FIR has been lodged against Vikram which includes IPC Sections 304A (causing death by negligence), 279 (rash driving), 338 (causing grievous hurt by an act endangering the life or personal safety of others) and 427 (mischief causing damage).

Bharti Singh and her baliye Harsh Limbachiyaa won’t perform together this week in Nach Baliye 8, as the latter injured his leg and has been advised bed rest. Bharti will instead dance with her Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa choreographer, Savio Barnes.
According to reports, during last week’s rehearsals, Harsh had to lift Bharti for an act. However, he twisted his leg and injured himself when she landed on his feet. Later, he took painkillers and managed to dance, but that aggravated his injury. As this week’s act includes some aerial moves, the doctor advised Harsh against dancing. Also, if his leg does now show improvement, he won’t be able to perform next week as well.

Sonakshi Sinha starrer Noor has failed to impress at the box office.
The film experienced a very low occupancy rate in the morning, a total of 10% so to say. According to the production, day one of the release, the movie only managed to do a business of INR 1.54 crore (approx). The film minted UNR 1.89 crore on Saturday and the total has amounted up to INR 3.43 crore.
But according to a leading trade website, Noor made about INR 1.25 crore at the ticket window and went on to collect INR 1.60 crore on Saturday. The total collection till now in INR 2.85 crore.
Now, we have to wait and watch to see how the movie fares on Sunday and the first-weekend collection of Noor can tell the real fate of the film at the box-office.
Noor is directed by debutant Sunhil Sippy and is based on the Pakistani novel Karachi! You’re Killing Me written by Saba Imtiaz. The film also stars Kanan Gill, Purab Kohli and Shibani Dandekar in pivotal roles.
Talking about her role as a journalist in the movie, Sonakshi had earlier said, “I wouldn’t be able to really understand the real struggles of being a journalist, but now I have a glimpse of it. I know that it’s a thankless job. I know how difficult it is to chase for a story and you have to please the people you work for and plus you have deadlines. Sometimes there are things that you don’t want to do at all but you have to do it as it’s your job. In those ways, I empathise.”

Sofia Hayat created headlines when post -Bigg Boss she chose to be a nun and named herself Gaia Mother. Just yesterday, she put an Instagram video which will shock you completely. She claimed that she was sexually assaulted at Mecca. She was with her fiance Vlad.
She took to Instagram and narrated her ordeal. She wrote, “Islam respects women. A man must not touch a woman that is not his wife, or be violent to her. That is why I love Islam. These rules however do not apply in Mecca. Men forget the rules when they go there. Today on my 2nd umrah as I attempted again to touch the black stone, I was being pushed by men. One man was pushing his genitals into me from behind..the women’s queue is non existent because men have used their physical strength to push women out of the way. As I was about a metre from the black stone, I was pushed so hard against my ribs I could not breath. I was scared, so I decided to turn back, as I did, men kept pushing, and my hijab came off and got caught between the pushing men, I was being dragged back by it and was started to be strangled by it. I screamed.”
She also added that there were some good men who saved her. In the video, she said, “Suddenly a few good men saw what was happening and came to my rescue. I am so shaken up and sad that at the house of God; men do not care about the words in the Quran. Allah is in me and she says to me that if a man thinks he will go to Jannat by touching the black stone yet disregards the respect Islam has for women, then your Hajj or Umrah is useless. In the house of Allah women are being disrespected.”
She went to touch the black stone of the Kaabah, but failed to do so. In one of the posts, she explained how women are not able to perform the religious act properly. She wrote, “3rd attempt at touching the black stone and it did not happen. Too much pushing and shoving, Again I saw women trampled on and pushed by men. Some were crying because they were scared. I feel energy very intensely..the energy at the black stone is very sad…fear. The energy around the black stone is men pushing desperately to touch the stone and women being pushed and trampled because we cannot match a mans strength. This energy is keeping the stone black..
it will go white when there is love there and support and unity, when women are revered and men step back to allow the sacred feminine to step forward and worship. Women gave birth to men and yet here they have no respect for that or the respect that Islam teaches about women. I was told women need a mehrem because things have happened in the past like they have to me. What is the mehrem supposed to do in this situation? I ask the king to allow women half day there and men half day. I am ashamed that this is happening in the house of Allah. Lets bring pure love and peace to the black stone. Mecca is indeed a place of intense sacred energy, and many pilgrims are full of love..I know the day will come when the aggression and pushing stops at the black stone..and women can walk up with reverence and dignity. John Abraham is all set to turn producer once again for his next project. The movie will reportedly be based on the nuclear test conducted at Pokharan in 1998 and will feature him in the led role. John’s production company JA has collaborated with KriArj Entertainment for the project.
According to a tabloid report, the director Abhishek Sharma, who has earlier directed Tere Bin Laden and Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive, has spent around three years researching on this subject.

The movie is expected to go on floors soon and is scheduled to release in December this year.

The Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma fiasco gets hotter as the days pass by. The incident reportedly occurred during a return trip back from Australia when an inebriated Kapil Sharma abused Sunil in front of all the passengers and even went to the extent of slapping Grover. Sonakshi Sinha is all set to roll up her sleeves as she will be seen playing the role of a journalist in her upcoming film, Noor. Sonakshi has gone to the other side now! Being an actor, she is now playing the role of a journalist whom she has to deal with when she starts promoting her films.
Now, Sona is on a promotional spree for her film, Noor and we got a chance to meet her. We inquired about the challenges she faced while playing a journalist. To which she said, “At the end, you are only acting. I wouldn’t be able to really understand the real struggles of being a journalist, but now have a glimpse of it. I know that it’s a thankless job.”
She went on to add, “I know how difficult it is to chase for a story and you have to please the people you work for and plus you have deadlines. Sometimes there are things that you don’t want to do at all but you have to do it as it’s your job. In those ways, I empathize.”
B-Town celebs also make headlines for their personal life and relationships. On this note, we asked Sonakshi that if she was a real life journalist and not a reel one, will she be asking the celebs some personal life questions?

Apart from Noor, Sonakshi is also judging the current season of Nach Baliye. We asked her how is it judging the reality show. To which she told us, “It’s quite cool and I really like any talent-based show – be it singing or dancing. I myself really enjoy dancing. I love being there and watching these couples putting up their performances and give their best every week. I have Mohit and Terence by my side and are entertaining.”

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is all set to hit the screens next week except in one state in India. Yes, the film has faced a ban in the state of Karnataka due to remarks made by the actor Sathyaraj, who plays the role of Kattappa during the Cauvery water issue.
An activist named Vatal Nagraj asked the actor to apologise for his alleged remarks on Kannadigas. When a leading portal quizzed the director of Baahubali franchise, SS Rajamouli about it, he stated, “It is a sad thing and we were shocked to see that on social media.”
He added, “I worked with Sathyaraj for almost five years and I could have never ever imagined he is a person who could try to hurt someone. Some videos were posted on the internet. When we started inquiring, we learned that whatever comments Mr Sathyaraj made it was nine years back. And after that, about 30 films of his were released in Karnataka. Baahubali 1 released. No one had problems with that. And suddenly, raking up the issue at this point in time is not right.”
Speaking about the issue Rana Daggubati, who plays the role of Bhallala Deva in the film said, “That’s something he (Sathyaraj) said 10 years ago. Baahubali part one released in Karnataka and everybody loved it. It was huge in Karnataka. I mean, they’re just trying to make news again.”
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion stars Prabhas in the titular role along with Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles.

Problems for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati don’t seem to end. The movie has been suffering glitches for quite sometime now. First, there were reports of issues between the two male leads of the movie – Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
Later, the movie’s crew faced issues in Jaipur when the activists of Karni Sena damaged the set and beat up director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The sets of Padmavati were also damaged in Kolhapur last month, causing damage to the production team. After facing so many hurdles, the crew resumed the shoot of the movie last week.
While Shahid Kapoor started the shoot first, Deepika Padukone joined in later. However, a source close to the movie has informed us today that the leading lady of the movie has fallen sick. Deepika has suffered neck pain, due to which she has had to cancel the shoot today.
“Deepika was to shoot today. But she experienced some pain in the neck. It was slightly unbearable and hence she decided to skip the shoot and rest,” informs a source.
Adds another source, “She was uncomfortable shooting with the heavy costumes and thought that it would strain her neck further. Hence Deepika cancelled the shoot. She is in immense pain and has been advised rest for the next 2-3 days.”
Well, now this is some sad news for all the Deepika fans and we hope the actress is back on the sets pretty soon!
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and produced by Viacom18, Padmavati stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead. The movie is all set to release on November 17, 2017.

The largely testosterone-fueled Star Wars movie franchise has added an important new female character in the eighth film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, director Rian Johnson said on Friday at a fanfest in Orlando.
Johnson said the movie, scheduled for release in December, is still in post-production.
Kelly Marie Tran plays Rose, a maintenance worker in the Resistance. Johnson said her character embodies the notion that even the most unlikely person can step up and become a hero. He said her part is the biggest new role in the film.
Johnson teased at the possibility of Rose and Finn pairing. He added, “She’s not a soldier, she’s not looking to be a hero. But she does get pulled into a very big adventure with Finn.”
With Rose’s story, Johnson is trying to tell that anyone can step up and become a hero. Johnson said that Luke Skywalker and Rey are the people cut from that very same cloth.
Kelly Marie Tran is known for guest appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! But her moment of recognition came with 2013 web series Ladies Like Us, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Lucasfilm also live-streamed to fans worldwide the first movie trailer that features Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, wielding a light saber under the guidance of Luke Skywalker who tells her that it’s time for the Jedi to end.
Ridley was brought into the franchise in the seventh movie, The Force Awakens, as a lead character. Fans have been expecting Lucasfilm to add more females to the cast.
The movie poster shows Rey on an intense red background pointing her light saber skyward, the beam dividing images of Skywalker and Kylo Ren. The poster harkens back to the poster for the first Star Wars film in 1977 in which Skywalker similarly pointed the beam up.

Star Wars nerds might be going bonkers right about now! Because we certainly have lost our cool. The first teaser as well as poster of The Last Jedi is out and it is epic. Though we weren’t completely blown away by the teaser (atleast the beginning wasn’t that happening) but it has definitely got us hooked. We can’t wait for the trailer but right now, we’re going to talk about the poster. Damn, take a deep breath and just look at this poster. It is every bit dark and quite honestly, makes us miss Vader a lot. For the fandom aware of Star Wars, you obviously know that Kylo is actually Luke Skywalker’s nephew and while there is speculation that Rey is related to Luke himself, we can’t guarantee that until the movie release.
Anyway, so yeah, in the poster, we see how Luke (Mark Hamill) and Kylo’s (Adam Driver) intense gazes leave the whole canvas bloodied up (with red, the Dark side). However, there’s Rey (Daisy Ridley), taking centrestage as she unleashes her light saber. Interestingly, her saber’s light cuts through Luke and Kylo but there’s a bit of Darkness as it closes in on their faces. See closely. It holds a bit of symbolism that she is the chosen one to defeat the Dark. But didn’t Luke say in the teaser that it is the end of Jedi?
